Help Desk Technician

Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience in the following:

• Ability to diagnose and fix hardware and software issues for desktops, servers, cloud services and networks

• Experience providing IT services to businesses working for an MSP on a helpdesk Experience installing and troubleshooting problems on WinXP, Windows7, Win2003/2008 Server, Active Directory, Exchange, DNS

• Experience in troubleshooting network related issues that can be related to network infrastructure such as switches and routers

• Person applying must have some experience of PC Rebuilds, Installations, Peripherals, etc. Please do not apply if you don’t have any experience.

• Customer service experience

• Inbound phone and remote login support for end-users

• Desktop/laptop reconfiguration and troubleshooting

• Entry of all work and requests into help desk system

• Ticket entry based off of network and server monitoring platforms

• Understanding of workflows and service desk processes and procedures

• Ability to provide a superior level of client service in all circumstances

• Provides professional server/desktop support for local and remote computer users (network admin preferably)

• Provides troubleshooting of computer desktops (software/hardware), resolving connectivity issues

• Ensures system backups are being properly performed on servers

• Ability to work with various vendors on our clients behalf

• Writes and maintains effective system and process documentation

• Ensures all work is completely and satisfactory verified

• Completes special projects as required in a timely manner

• Mac knowledge a plus

• Requires strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Must have the ability to work independently, as well as, ability to function as a successful and participating team member

• Must be detail oriented and able to work on multiple tasks at one time.

Ability to learn and adapt to new technology is essential, as is, the ability to think out problems and solutions logically.

• This technician may work under the guidance of more senior level staff or managers and perform other duties as required

• This position requires a rotating on-call component for 24/7 availability

• Reliable transportation is mandatory

• Credit/Background/Driving Record checks need to be clean
