Everyone remembers the large impact Hurricane Sandy had across the Jersey Shore in October of 2012. There was such significant damage in certain areas, that people are still recovering almost 5 years later. Seaside Heights is one of the places that experienced the impact of this super storm first hand.
The famous image of the JetStar rollercoaster sitting in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean after the storm is one that is almost impossible to forget. Since that catastrophic storm, Casino Pier has been working hard to get the Seaside boardwalk up and running back to its full force.
One of the newest additions to Casino Pier is a rollercoaster named Hydrus. Watch for its debut this spring! The bold and bright colored Hydrus is made up of a lot of twists and turns, as well as a 72-foot vertical drop. Along with Hydrus, a 131-foot tall Ferris Wheel is another new attraction that will be added to the round up. This is expected to open Memorial Day weekend!
Once the need for IT services arose, CATS Technology Solutions Group was called to come on board to help get these attractions running.
Our techs have been working extremely hard on all of these projects and attractions at Casino Pier to ensure that they will be ready to go by the expected opening dates. In addition to the Ferris Wheel and Hydrus, CATS Technology is also involved with the re-wiring for the Go-Karts, which just opened this past weekend!
As a company, we are so excited to be a significant part of something that is known to be such a big part of the Jersey Shore. Make sure you stop by the Seaside Boardwalk and check out everything Casino Pier has to offer!
You may even be able to spot a white Go-Kart speeding around the track with a CATS logo on it!!
