Windows Server 2012 and R2 Extended Support to End

October 10, 2023; This is the day Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 Extended Support will end.  As Microsoft introduces newer innovations and features for Windows Server, the support for older versions, as well as security updates and patches, will begin to come to an end as they are replaced.  This will leave servers vulnerable to attacks and breaches.

Upgrading to the newest version of Windows Server will not only help modernize your IT environment, but also be more secure and help protect you from Cyber Attacks.

What are Your Options?
Although Microsoft understands it may take some businesses more time than others to completely upgrade, they have very useful options available.

  1. Migrate to Azure – Customers can migrate their servers and applications to Azure Virtual Machines. Microsoft Azure offers a Cloud Based Solution for applications and servers.
  2. Upgrade On-Premises – Due to Compliance concerns, customers that need to remain on-premises can upgrade to Windows Server 2022 or SQL Server 2022.
