Now that some time has passed, a lot has changed and we thought it would be fun to share an update on what Caitlin Gonchar has been up to!
The “C” in CATS stands for Caitlin! As many of you know, she is the oldest daughter/twin, of CATS President, Darrin, and his wife, Kelly. When we left off, she was a member of the Tri Sigma National Sorority and enrolled in a 5-year program at Montclair State University working towards obtaining her degree. Now, she is a college graduate who has officially earned her Bachelor Degree in English!
In March, she passed her boards exam (edTPA), which is a Teacher Performance Assessment test. Passing this exam is a huge accomplishment, since it allowed her to be able to work towards becoming certified to teach in both NJ and NY. On top of the hard work she put into getting her degree and passing her boards exam, she then obtained her Certification in Teaching Elementary K-6 and Certification in Teaching English P-12. All of that, on top of student teaching 24 kindergarteners in Bloomfield, led her to where she is today! Since graduation, Caitlin has accepted K-3 Elementary School Teaching Position in Asbury Park, NJ! The children are lucky to have you; we know you will make a huge impact on their lives!
During her time at Montclair University, she loved her experience as a member of the Tri Sigma National Sorority, where she formed a close bond with her sorority sisters and made many friends she will have for a lifetime. With summer right around the corner, Caitlin is looking forward to spending it down the shore. She can’t wait to relax and enjoy quality time with her friends and family which is one of her favorite things to do!
